Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been trying his best to slow down President Donald Trump and block his agenda.
Schumer has desperately tried stopping Trump’s agenda and his breakneck pace of reshaping the judiciary, but he has failed spectacularly.
And things just went from bad to worse for Schumer after he just suffered another humiliating defeat to Trump.
Late last week, two of Trump’s nominees for the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals — Lawrence VanDyke and Patrick Bumatay — were moved forward by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
All 12 Republican members on the committee voted to move the nominations forward, with all 10 Democrats voting against pushing them forward.
The two conservative judges are now one step closer to full confirmation and serving on what was once arguably the most liberal federal appeals court in America.
This is the second time Schumer has lost big time to Trump in just over a week.
Trump and Republicans also just flipped one of most liberal courts in America, giving it a conservative majority for the first time in decades.
The Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has had a liberal slant for decades, but that changed when Steven Menashi was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the court by a vote of 51–41.
The 2nd Circuit now has 7 Republican judges and 6 who are Democrats.
Trump has arguably had the most success of any modern president in reshaping the courts in America.
The GOP-controlled Senate has confirmed just shy of 160 conservative judges since Trump took office less than three years ago — and Schumer can’t do anything to stop it because he doesn’t have the votes.
Analysis shows that Trump is on pace to appoint 30 percent of all federal judges currently on the bench by the end of his first term.
And if Trump wins re-election in 2020 and serves another four years — it’s more than likely that he will have appointed more than 50 percent of all federal judges when he leaves office in 2024.
Trump’s judicial appointments also include two Supreme Court justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
That’s certainly a historic accomplishment, and the Republican-controlled Senate is reshaping the federal courts across the country for decades to come.
Trump has done this country a huge service by appointing a slew of young, fair, and Constitution-focused judges to the nation’s courts.
Schumer has been losing a lot lately on key battles. Below are a few examples:
Are you tired of all this winning?
