Democrats are so confident in their impeachment inquiry that they are literally blocking and forbidding Republicans in Congress from taking part in anything.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and others have been holding closed-doors interviews with officials, yet they are refusing to allow Republicans an opportunity to ask questions or speak with these so-called witnesses.
And things took a turn this week after Democrats removed two Republican lawmakers from key, closed-door testimony hearings in their farcical impeachment inquiry on President Donald Trump.
Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs, who chairs the House Freedom Caucus, accused the Democrats of excluding conservatives from even sitting in the room to hear testimony from witnesses on the impeachment inquiry.
Republican members were disallowed from making comments during testimony from a former aide to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo — and even banned from requesting to view a transcript on a former guest.
Biggs said, “If you were to have a formal impeachment inquiry, you wouldn’t be having Soviet style secret hearings. Normally every member of Congress can go into any committee hearing that’s ongoing.”
“You can’t do that here, because we’re not allowed in,” continued Biggs.
As noted by One America News Network, Biggs is arguing that at least with a full House vote on whether an impeachment inquiry should be opened, every member could be involved.
In fact, Article 1, Section 2, of the Constitution states that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment,” and this means all of the people’s representatives, not just a handful of politicians or one party.
This came just one day after Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz attempted and failed to gain entry into Fiona Hill’s hearing.
Gaetz said he just wanted to sit in the room and listen to her testimony, but Schiff kicked him out because they are not allowing any conservatives to take part in this impeachment charade.
Consider that: Democrats are trying to investigate and remove Trump, the duly elected president, by holding secret hearings behind closed doors and they are not allowing Republicans to take part in them at all.
If the whistleblower is credible enough to kick-off an impeachment inquiry, why are Democrats literally trying to hide him from everyone? Why can’t Republicans in Congress ask him questions about his complaint and allegations against Trump?
In recent weeks, we have learned a lot about this so-called whistleblower — and it’s exactly why Schiff doesn’t want them to testify under oath.
A so-called whistleblower filed a complaint in August alleging that Trump directly asked Ukrainian President Zelensky in July to turn over DNC servers to his administration — but no such request appears in the transcript of the July 25 phone call.
Furthermore, the complaint also claims (1) Trump suggested Zelensky keep his current prosecutor to probe Biden and his son’s shady business deals in the country and (2) that a State Department official was on the call between the two leaders.
Newly released reports and information show that both of those claims are also false.
The whistleblower filed a complaint about a call that they never heard, and Democrats want Trump impeached over a call that they also never heard.
But wait, it gets even better.
The Office of Intelligence Community Inspector General found that the whistleblower had a “political bias” in favor of one of Trump’s rivals in the 2020 presidential election.
We now know that the whistleblower worked with Vice President Joe Biden a few years ago.
Democrats are attempting to steal that power away from him and the people. And these bogus impeachment charges suggest they are terrified of their chances to defeat Trump in 2020.
