Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried to pull a political stunt on Tuesday, but she accidentally exposed herself for having massive student loan debts.
And, she wants YOU, the taxpayer, to foot her bill.
During a hearing before House Financial Services Committee, the New York Democrat revealed her staggering student loan debt to the public.
Ocasio-Cortez theatrically began clicking around on her phone and announced during the hearing that she had just made a $1,200 payment.
“I literally made a student loan payment while I was sitting here at this chair, and I looked at my balance, and it was $20,237.16,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“I just made a payment that took me down to $19,000, so I feel really accomplished right now,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez went on to strongly suggest that she wants taxpayers to help pay off the massive debt that she racked up.
“I’m hearing people on this committee say it’s not our job,” Ocasio-Cortez said, referring to Republican lawmakers who oppose government interference on the massive $1.5 trillion in student loan debt.
She declared: “This is our job.”
AOC also stuttered and struggled mightily to deliver a coherent sentence, especially when trying to announce that she’s over $20,000 in debt.

Ocasio-Cortez went to the Boston University — which costs around $70,000 a year with tuition and living expenses — and graduated with a B.A. in International Relations and Economics in 2011.
It’s unclear if Ocasio-Cortez did much with her expensive degree given she was working as a bartender before she won her election last November.
But like a true socialist, Ocasio-Cortez loves suggesting radical ideas and policies while forcing others to foot the bill.
Ocasio-Cortez has proposed her radical “Green New Deal” to save the planet.
In April, the U.S. Senate voted 0-57 to reject the Green New Deal, meaning not a single senator voted “yes” on it.
Zero senators voted “yea,” with 57 voting “nay” and 43 Democrats voting “present.”
Four Democrats — Sens. Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, and Angus King, I-Maine — joined all 53 Republicans in voting against the socialist measure.
The Green New Deal has also been heavily criticized for how much it will cost taxpayers.
One study found that the price tag for socialist measure would be around $7 trillion.
However, a second study found that the estimated $7 trillion projected cost is painfully low, and that it could actually cost nearly $50 trillion, which would be roughly seven — SEVEN — times more than that.
A third study found that it would actually cost around $93 trillion over the next decade.
All that “free” stuff Ocasio-Cortez keeps promising sure is expensive, and experts argue it will literally end all of civilization if implemented and destroy the country.
