Trump Considering Full Pardo Of Gen. Flynn

As the nation is in the midst of the coronavirus crises Democrats were likely under the impression that he cannot think of more than one thing at a time.

But he can, and he is. In fact the president has a lot on his mind, including considering the full pardon on Gen. Michael Flynn.

“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has ‘lost’ the records of General Michael Flynn. How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” he said.

And he was not done with that. President Donald Trump is demanding action be taken against Senate Minority Leader and New York Sen. Charles Schumer.

The president wants to see someone, presumably the Department of Justice or the FBI, take action against the senator after he threatened two Supreme Court Justices.

“Can’t believe they are not going after Schumer for the threats he made to our cherished United States Supreme Court, and our two great Justices

“If a Republican did that, there would be an endless price to pay. Pathetic!” the president said in a tweet on Saturday.

His comments come in response to the senator’s apparent threat to Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” the senator said.

In a rare written statement addressing a sitting United States senator Chief Justice John Roberts crushed Schumer.

“This morning, Senator Schumer spoke at a rally in front of the Supreme Court while a case was being argued inside,” he said.

“Senator Schumer referred to two Members of the Court by name and said he wanted to tell them that ‘You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said.

“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous.

“All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter,” he said, Fox News reported.

He attempted to cover it by saying that he was threatening Republicans in the Senate with political consequences.

But unless there are Republican senators named Gorsuch and Kavanaugh that argument does not make any sense.

“It’s a reference to the political price [Republicans] will pay for putting them on the court and a warning that the justices will unleash a major grassroots movement on the issue of reproductive rights against the decision,” Schumer’s office said.

An apology could have worked, but no, Schumer chose to then go after the chief justice and accuse him of being biased.

“For Justice Roberts to follow the right wing’s deliberate misinterpretation of what Sen Schumer said, while remaining silent when Pres Trump attacked Justices Sotomayor & Ginsberg last week, shows Justice Roberts does not just call balls and strikes,” they said.
