BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi Reveals Decision On Impeaching Trump

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will announce on Tuesday that she will support a formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

According to the Washington Post, three congressional aides confirmed that Pelosi will hold an impeachment meeting at 4 p.m. ET with Democratic leadership and will announce that she will allow an impeachment inquiry into the president.

Axios reports:

Pelosi has resisted calls to impeach Trump for more than a year, even as the number of House Democrats demanding a formal inquiry crossed into the majority in June.

The allegations that Trump may have pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden opened the floodgates this week for swing district Democrats and influential holdouts to endorse impeachment, finally pushing Pelosi over the edge.

Pelosi will make her announcement this evening after meeting with the chairs of key Democratic committees and the full caucus. Some aides warn her specific plans could be subject to change based on the meetings.

Advisers for Pelosi say she will make a statement at 5 p.m. ET on how exactly Democrats will move forward.

But congressional aides told the Post that Pelosi now supports impeachment.

A few hours before Pelosi’s remarks, Trump announced via Twitter that he will be releasing the transcript of his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

The media has been going ballistic over a phone call Trump had with the Ukrainian president several months ago, where POTUS reportedly asked the foreign leader to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, over shady business dealings with a Ukrainian gas company.

There are two major issues at hand.

First, a whistleblower filed a complaint regarding the call, but it has been revealed that the leaker did not even hear the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president.

The whistleblower filed a complaint about a call that they never heard, and Democrats are demanding Trump be impeached over a call that they also never heard.

Secondly, the scandal involving Biden and Ukraine is arguably just as controversial as Hillary Clinton’s Uranium One scandal.

Essentially, the allegations are that Hunter allegedly profited financially from his father’s time as vice president.

The details emerged as the Ukrainian government recently reopened an investigation into a company which once paid Hunter Biden roughly $50,000 a month.

That company, Burisma Holdings, is currently being probed by Ukraine’s top prosecutor.

Joe Biden allegedly pressured and tried to intimidate the Ukrainian government to remove the prosecutor from the case, and his plan actually worked.

Biden, who was still serving as the vice president, went to Kiev in March 2016 and “threatened to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss the country’s top prosecutor [Yuriy Lutsenko], who had been accused of turning a blind eye to corruption in his own office and among the political elite.”

Biden’s plan worked, and the Ukrainian Parliament removed Lutsenko as the prosecutor on the case.

However, it looks like Hunter Biden still benefited significantly from his father’s actions.

If Biden used his power as VP to pressure Ukraine into removing the prosecutor who was investigating a shady deal involving his son, that would be catastrophic and maybe even illegal.
