Still petty and bitter about her embarrassing loss in the 2016 presidential election, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been working behind the scenes to help 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren.
According to NBC News, Clinton and Warren have developed a close political friendship that could be pivotal to deciding the Democratic presidential nomination.
Sources told NBC News that Clinton has kept in touch since Warren announced her decision to seek the Democratic nomination back in February.
One source close to NBC told the media outlet that the two had conversed at least once since Warren’s announcement, while another recalled a recent, substantive conversation that was “front of mind.”
“That has clearly not gone unnoticed, and I think she really appreciates that,” the source told NBC.
“Hillary Clinton would absolutely have influence over a number of delegates to this convention,” Deb Kozikowski, the vice-chairwoman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, told NBC.
Kozikowski was referring to the possibility that Clinton would need to help Warren secure delegates at the DNC convention next summer if one candidate hasn’t distanced themselves as the frontrunner.
One Democratic strategist told NBC that Clinton “loves” Warren’s campaign style and the slew of radical, far-left policy proposals she has unveiled.
“She has applauded her about being serious and disciplined and loves that she is sticking to her guns,” the source told NBC.
Kozikowski said she thinks Clinton will “help out another Democratic woman” who is trying to do what the former first lady failed to do in 2016.
“It would be counterproductive for the first woman nominee of the party to not be supportive of a woman who may go over that threshold,” Kozikowski said.
In other words, Clinton played the woman card in 2016 and lost.
Now, Crooked Hillary is hitching her wagon to Warren and they will likely argue to voters that it’s time for a woman president.
For reference, below are a few examples of the radical policies Warren says she will implement if she becomes president:
- Form a commission to study reparations and allow the government to use taxpayer money to write checks for the descendants of slaves.
- Allocate roughly $70 billion annually to fund a “universal childcare program.”
- Supports the $93 trillion socialist Green New Deal.
These are just a few of Warren’s radical policies — imagine how much worse they could get if Clinton starts giving her ideas.
