The Dems seem dead set on completely ending the fossil fuel industry as soon as possible, or sooner than possible.
The worst part is that most of the Democratic hopefuls running in the 2020 presidential campaign seem to be trying to one-up each other when it comes to how harshly they crack down on fossil fuel businesses, which just so happens to be a backbone of our economy and what keeps industry moving.
A lot of people like to say that gold is “real money” and I agree, but when you watch a gold mining show, all the mine bosses are worried about one thing … FUEL, how much its costs, how much they have, how much they are using, which tells me that it’s really energy and fuel that have the most intrinsic value.
Watching the debates reminds me of watching lemmings running off of a cliff.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren vows to put millions of Americans out of work if elected POTUS, by executive order on day one. Crippling fossil fuel industry growth and potentially killing millions of jobs over the course of her term(s).
Senator Elizabeth Warren tweeted, “On my first day as president, I will sign an executive order that puts a total moratorium on all new fossil fuel leases for drilling offshore on public lands. And I will ban fracking- everywhere.”

The problem? Well, the Global Energy Institute claims:
“A study commissioned by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 21st Century Energy Institute says the extraction of “unconventional” shale oil and gas through horizontal hydraulic fracturing – or fracking – has meant a job boom even in states that don’t actually have shale deposits, with 1.7 million jobs already created and a total of 3.5 million projected by 2035.”
In 2016 the fossil fuel industry employed over a million American citizens. According to these numbers from the Global Energy Institute, Warren would put 1,700,000 people out of work, IN THE FRACKING INDUSTRY ALONE, day one on the job.
In 2018, the Heartland Institute released the following report:
RESEARCH & COMMENTARY: FRACKING HAS TURNED UNITED STATES INTO WORLD’S LEADING OIL PRODUCER
A 2015 Harvard Business School/Boston Consulting Group study estimates fracking supported 2.7 million jobs in 2014, with the potential to grow to 3.8 million jobs by 2030. Similarly, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) prepared a report for the American Petroleum Institute that estimates the oil and natural gas industries supported 10.3 million jobs in 2015, an increase of about 500,00 compared to 2011.
The RAND Corporation projects the industries will support an additional 1.9 million jobs by 2035. By the same year, a 2012 IHS Markit study estimates fracking will have created 3.5 million jobs.
A 2016 Chamber of Commerce study projects that if the fracking revolution of the previous decade had not occurred, 4.3 million jobs would not have been created, the U.S. economy would be $500 billion smaller and residential natural gas prices would be 28 percent higher.
Twitter users had a lot to say about Warren’s promise:
One user responded, “Gas prices will be 17$ a gallon. I hope you’re planning to invest trillions in public transportation since nobody will be able to afford cars. Im sure that didn’t cross your mind and that’s why you’re not fit to be president.” (Tweets posted here represent the opinions of their author’s and should not be considered facts)

Yet another Twitter user wrote, “TRANSLATION: On day one I will take executive action that impacts millions of jobs and raises the cost of gas, heating oil, and manufactured goods directly impacting all Americans. Especially the poorest in this country.”

One user mockingly jokes, “And we’re going to heat our homes and drive our cars on Fairy Dust.”

You would think that someone who knows they need to win the rust belt to defeat Trump would be smarter than to tell a lot of those voters they will potentially be out of work if they vote for you. Is it me or is the Democrat party turning into a death cult? But hey, that’s …
Just, like, my opinion, man.
