Hillary Clinton’s arrogance was one of President Trump’s great weapons during the historic campaign that saw Trump upset the established order.
Make no mistake, Trump will go down as one of the all-time greats just for what he did during the 2016 campaign.
He took on the GOP like no Democrat ever did – literally he exposed years of GOP rot and made the established order look foolish on the stage with him in the process.
But then he did the exact same thing to the Democrats – made fools of the established order.
Now, it is true that Hillary was so hated by America and so blind to this hatred that she was truly and singularly a terrible candidate.
And yes her arrogance led her to abandon the rust belt but people forget she abandoned those people long before her doomed campaign – it took Trump to remind people of he real Hillary.
And it is her arrogance again that makes her believe she could win if she ran this time. And rumors have been flying nonstop she may run again after seeing lackluster candidates on the Dem side.
Who could blame her after seeing the Dem field – she probably could beat them all. But she would lose again to Trump and that is a fact.
From The Washington Examiner:
In an email to supporters, the 2008 and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate said, “I’d like to hear what you’re thinking.”
While she isn’t talking about running for president for a third time, Clinton said that she has been talking to people about key issues, including immigration reform and electing Democrats “at all levels” in 2020.
“I’ve been traveling and talking with folks around the world about their plans for the rest of the year. Some members of this team are doubling down on issues from voting rights to immigration reform, while others are focused on electing Democrats at all levels in 2019 and 2020.
Like you, they’re all thinking about how we can best work toward making our country a place where the values we share are front and center — in our policy and in the way we treat each other,” she wrote for her group, “Onward Together.”
Clinton has recently been weighing in regularly on President Trump, just this weekend mentioning the reports he asked Ukraine’s president to look into consulting done in the country by Joe Biden’s son.
