House Democrats are getting desperate and trying to find new ways to stop Attorney General William Barr. Given Barr has promised to expose the D.C. swamp and look into all aspects of how the Obama administration handled the Russia probe, Democrats are not happy.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made it clear how desperate Democrats are on Monday by announcing that the House will vote “soon” on a contempt resolution for Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.
Pelosi and her left-wing allies allege that Barr and Ross have failed to comply with congressional subpoenas for documents on the proposed addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 census.
“Before the break, the Oversight Committee voted on a bipartisan basis to hold the Attorney General and the Secretary of Commerce in contempt of Congress for defying the Committee’s bipartisan subpoenas for documents that would shed light on the real reason the administration added a citizenship question,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to other House Democrats.
She added in the letter: “We will be moving forward in the whole House soon.”
“Democrats were seeking specific documents to determine why Ross added the question to the 2020 census. The administration has turned over more than 17,000 pages of documents and Ross testified in March for nearly seven hours,” Newsmax reported.
Pelosi has been obsessed with trying to go after Barr, which looks like nothing more than a desperate stunt to slow him down from doing his real work.
In May, Pelosi claimed Barr committed a crime and accused the AG of lying to Congress in relation to the letter that was sent to him by Robert Mueller in late March.
The letter was greatly misrepresented by the media but the Democrats ran with it without a care in the world for the truth.
“What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That’s a crime,” Pelosi stated.
“He lied to Congress. He lied to Congress. “That’s a crime,” Pelosi said to reporters.
“Should he go to jail for it?” a reporter asked.
“There’s a process involved here…and the committee will act upon how we will proceed,” Pelosi said, arrogantly suggested Barr should be arrested.
Nancy Pelosi: "[Barr] lied to Congress. If anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime. Nobody is above the law. Not the President of the United States and not the attorney general."

But when Barr confronted Pelosi to her face about all of these threats at an event on Capitol Hill, she didn’t have anything to say.
Barr mocked Pelosi at an event when they bumped into each other and mockingly asked: “Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?”
Maybe Pelosi is still angry that Barr delivered a knock-out blow to Democrats and her plan last month with a new legal opinion.
The Department of Justice issued a legal opinion finding that Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin was right to withhold President Trump’s tax returns from a House committee that subpoenaed them.
The Democratic-controlled House Ways and Means Committee subpoenaed six years of Trump’s tax returns in May, but the Treasury Department has cited legal opinions to support its decision to not hand over the president’s tax returns.
Barr keep defeating Pelosi and Democrats — and that has forced them into making ridiculous comments and taking absurd actions.
