Democrats are still ramming ahead with their plans to impeach President Donald Trump over his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Despite the White House releasing the transcript of the call, which shows nothing illegal or impeachable occurred, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is still determined to impeach Trump in the Democratic-controlled House.
But Schiff stunned just about everyone in America this week when he admitted he didn’t know if he would vote to impeach Trump.
While speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Schiff refused to say whether he definitively backs impeaching Trump — despite, in Schiff’s words, “uncontested” evidence of wrongdoing.
“I want to discuss this with my constituents and colleagues before I make a final judgment on this,” Schiff said.
Tapper pressed Schiff on why he keeps claiming there’s “uncontested” evidence the president broke the law, yet he doesn’t know if he will vote to impeach Trump.
“I certainly think that the evidence that has been produced overwhelmingly shows serious misconduct from the president,” Schiff said. “I certainly want to hear more from my constituents and more from my colleagues.”
Just consider how bizarre this is.
Schiff has been claiming for months that there’s concrete evidence Trump broke the law and committed impeachable offenses.
Yet, the man leading the latest Democratic witch hunt isn’t even sure if he will vote in favor of impeaching the president?
What is he waiting for? Where’s all the “bombshell” evidence proving wrongdoing?
Here’s the truth: the Democrats circus act has lost steam, voters are against impeaching Trump, and after months of hearings, there’s absolutely no evidence that the president did anything wrong.
Perhaps Schiff is weary on impeachment because he has done a spectacular job of proving Trump is innocent.
During the closed-door hearings he held in the basement of Congress, three top officials with firsthand knowledge of Trump’s call testified that there was nothing illegal or wrong with what the president did or said.
We also recently learned the alleged Ukraine whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, has a “bro-like” relationship with one of Schiff’s top aides.
Ciaramella is widely believed to be the CIA official who filed a complaint in August regarding Trump’s phone Ukraine phone call.
Ciaramella’s complaint is what triggered the impeachment inquiry, but his ties to Schiff’s team continues to raise serious questions.
Adding even more hilarity to it all, we’ve also learned some very troubling information in recent weeks about the alleged whistleblower.
Ciaramella, the rumored whistleblower, is: (1) a registered Democrat; (2) worked for Obama and Joe Biden when they were in the White House; (3) is a vocal critic of Trump; (4) helped initiate the Russia “collusion” hoax; and (5) was fired from the National Security Council in 2017 for leaks, and returned to the CIA.
Before that, Schiff and Democrats got caught intentionally omitting key evidence in transcripts that was favorable to Trump and exonerated him from “quid pro quo” allegations.
Schiff’s witch hunt is going so badly that a top Democrat went public to say he’s against the impeachment inquiry into the president.
Voters will undoubtedly punish the Democrats in 2020 for trying to impeach Trump for no reason at all.
