Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters has been vocally anti-Trump since the very beginning.
While she has been trying to impeach President Donald Trump for over two years, Waters made it clear that she can’t even take a compliment without attacking conservatives.
During a hearing before the House Financial Services Committee, Waters made a sickening statement to a retiring Republican colleague that shocked many people.
Wisconsin Republican Rep. Sean Duffy issued a statement before the committee about his retirement and took a few moments to thank his colleagues.
Putting politics aside, Duffy actually thanked Waters personally for showing him respect during his time in Congress.
“We fight a lot, but I always say you’re a really nice person,” Duffy said to Waters.
In response, Waters issued backhanded compliments and attacked Duffy.
“I want to thank you for your very public comments, complimenting me and thanking me,” a snarky Waters replied. “I was shocked — however, you’re repeating it one more time and I’m so pleased.”
“I want to thank you for the times you have tried to interfere with me doing my work over here when you rush across the aisle with another comment that is unwelcome,” Waters continued.
With another comment that is unwelcome? Interfered with her work? Waters was clearly attacking Duffy.
In the video clip below, Waters comes across as very smug and arrogant, as if she is only saying nice things about Duffy because the cameras were rolling.
Perhaps Waters is still angry that she had to admit last month that impeaching Trump is likely never going to happen.
“Impeachment, of course, would have been my preference — but since we’ve not gotten there, I don’t know if we will be able to get there, despite the fact that six of our committees are investigating now,” Waters said.
Waters has been screaming at the top of her lungs for more than two years that she has evidence to impeach the president.
Now, she is admitting that it is highly unlikely that Trump will be impeached.
She has been lying and spreading false information to her supporters for years, and it will likely come back to backfire on her and Democrats in the 2020 election.
Just last month, Waters vowed on MSNBC that she will continue going after Trump since she feels he “colluded with the Russian government.”
Even when she knows there’s no evidence of collusion or obstruction, Waters is still trying to push her impeachment pipe dream.
Just to be clear: impeachment it dead.
During his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, former Special Counsel Robert Mueller reiterated that his team found no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia or obstructed in the investigation.
Mueller’s entire Russia investigation was nothing more than a two-long scam that failed to give Democrats their chance to remove President Donald Trump from office.
Democrats hauled in Mueller as a last ditch effort to keep their Trump-Russia collusion theories alive.
But Mueller’s testimony was bleak, lacked any new information, and the ex-special counsel got caught several times contradicting his own report.
The president has been completely vindicated after the two-year Russia probe, and Mueller didn’t do Democrats any favors with his bizarre and lackluster performance
