Seems like not a day goes by when Hollywood liberals aren’t fawning over former First Lady Michelle Obama and insulting First Lady Melania Trump.
Earlier this week, Showtime announced that they are starting a new drama series called “First Ladies.”
The show will not be featuring Trump, the current first lady of the United States.
Instead, Michelle Obama, played by actress Viola Davis, will be the star of the show.
Here’s more from Deadline on the controversial show:
Viola Davis is set to portray Michelle Obama in First Ladies, a one-hour White House drama that has been put on fast-track development at Showtime with a three-script commitment.
Davis will executive produce the project, which hails from writer Aaron Cooley (novels Four Seats: A Thriller of the Supreme Court, The Guns of Ridgewood), Davis and Julius Tennon’s JuVee Productions, Cathy Schulman’s Welle Entertainment (Otherhood), Jeff Gaspin’s Gaspin Media (LA’s Finest) and Brad Kaplan (The Intruder). Showtime and Lionsgate TV co-produce.
Melania Trump is arguably one of the classiest and most well-respected first lady’s in American history.
But because she is married to President Donald Trump, the left-wing entertainment industry is refusing to show her any respect.
Written by Cooley, First Ladies is set in the East Wing of the White House, where many of history’s most impactful and world-changing decisions have been hidden from view, made by America’s charismatic, complex and dynamic first ladies.
The series will peel back the curtain on the personal and political lives of our most enigmatic heroes, with Season 1 focusing on Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle Obama.
Material for First Ladies comes entirely from the public domain. Several years ago, Reese Witherspoon and Anonymous Content teamed to produce a TV series based on Kate Andersen Brower’s bestseller First Women: The Grace & Power of America’s Modern First Ladies, with Robin Wright attached to direct and executive produce.
Melania Trump has done so much good for our country, but will never get the appreciation that she deserves.
The Showtime series comes a few weeks after conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh predicted that Michelle Obama might decide to run for president in 2020.
Limbaugh thinks Michelle will announce a presidential run when the Democratic primaries are wrapping up early next year.
Limbaugh also has another theory about why Michelle would run for president.
He explained that he believes President Obama sees President Trump dismantling his failed legacy and is furious about it.
As such, the former president may be intrigued by the idea of the former first lady running for president in order to preserve what is left of his legacy.
So his theory is that she may be intrigued to run so that she can save the legacy of her husband — or what is left of it.
Limbaugh also said he thinks she would only run if the Obamas were convinced her election was a sure thing and that she could actually win.
