No one has ever accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being fair and open-minded. She’s nothing more than a far-left activist in lockstep with her party’s mission of impeaching President Donald Trump at all costs.
Pelosi and her left-wing allies are still ramming ahead with their impeachment inquiry into Trump’s July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president.
While she puts on a tough face for the cameras, the president and some House Republicans are revealing that she may reverse course and drop the entire impeachment witch hunt.
During a call-in interview Friday on Fox & Friends, Trump said he thinks Pelosi and the Democrats won’t go through with impeachment.
“No, I don’t expect it,” he said. “I think it’s very hard for them to impeach you when they have absolutely nothing.”
As noted by The Hill, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Lindsay Graham and other Republican lawmakers made similar comments.
“They think they’ve got a better than 50-50 [chance] that maybe this doesn’t happen in the House. I don’t know if they’re going to impeach the president or not, but if they do, you need to be ready for that to happen,” Graham said.
North Dakota GOP Sen. Kevin Cramer explained why he’s suspicious that Pelosi may call off the impeachment effort.
“There’s a growing school of thought,” he said, adding, “that rather [than] give Senate Republicans or the White House an opportunity on a level playing field on a large stage, Democrats would be better off just saying, ‘we’re going to look out for the country, not drag the country through this, we’ve made our point,’ and have a vote of censure-ship.”
Trump is looking at a win-win scenario.
If impeachment is called off, it shows that this whole thing was nothing more than another witch hunt concocted by Democrats who are just trying to remove him from office.
And if the Democratic-controlled House does vote to impeach him and the trial moves to the GOP-controlled Senate,Republicans will have the opportunity to expose the holes in the Democrats’ Ukraine narrative.
On the other hand, Pelosi — who previously tried to avoid impeachment as something she deemed a losing strategy — has a lose-lose hand.
It’s clear the Democrats’ case has completely fallen apart, forcing Pelosi to find a way for her party to save face.
Aside from no evidence proving Trump broke the law or committed an impeachable offense, the Democrats public hearings have been nothing short of boring and a total snooze-fest.
Democrats claim to be leading a “fair” and “fact based” impeachment inquiry, yet they are: (1) conducting several hearings behind closed-doors; (2) refusing to allow Republican lawmakers to ask witnesses they cherry-picked certain questions; and (3) Pelosi has ordered reporters not to ask her a single question that criticizes how Democrats are handling this entire partisan sham.
Pelosi is not taking all of this too well.
Late last week, Pelosi snapped, suffered a face spasm, and wagged her finger at a reporter who asked her about Democrats impeachment push falling flat.
Pelosi’s anger likely stemmed from Democrats impeachment crusade imploding before their very eyes.
Democrats are so incompetent that they released a transcript from one of their closed-door impeachment hearings and accidentally forgot to redact the name of the whistleblower.
