Radical Muslim Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are by far the most controversial members of Congress. But what they did over the weekend after being barred from visiting Israel speaks volumes.
On Thursday, Israel barred Omar and Tlaib from entering the Jewish state, citing the lawmakers support for a Palestinian-led boycott movement and countless anti-Semitic comments.
“The decision has been made, the decision is not to allow them to enter,” Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely told Israel’s Reshet Bet Radio.
In response to the news, Tlaib and Omar both took to social media and shared a racist cartoon attacking President Donald Trump and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Oof. Looks like both Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib shared this awful Carlos Latuff cartoon in Instagram stories yesterday. In 2006, Latuff came in second in Iran’s International Holocaust Cartoon Contest, which is a thing that exists, in case you thought the TL couldn’t get any worse,” reporter Batya Ungar-Sargon wrote.

Fox News reported:
Ungar-Sargon pointed out that the artist who drew the cartoon, Carlos Latuff, has a history of cartoons that compare Israel to Nazis, including an entry in the 2006 Iran Holocaust Cartoon Contest that won him second place.
Latuff himself shared the cartoon on his Twitter page, and early Sunday morning he posted a link to an interview he did with the Forward where he discussed his controversial artwork. He defended his use of the Holocaust to criticize Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, even while acknowledging that the two are not exactly the same.
“Of course Israel isn’t building gas chambers in the West Bank, but surely we can find some similarities between the treatment given to Palestinians by the [Israel Defense Forces] and the Jews under Nazi rule,” Latuff said.
Many won’t find it too shocking that Omar and Tlaib, two anti-Semites, shared anti-Semitic cartoons.
Since becoming members of Congress in January, both lawmakers have come under fire for controversial comments and actions.
The Muslim lawmaker allegedly filed illegal tax returns in 2014 and 2015.
Tlaib also has a long list of horrifying comments.
Tlaib stunned many late last month after she claimed thinking about the holocaust gives her a “calming feeling.”
Tlaib said the Holocaust — where millions of innocent people were beaten, tortured, and murdered — gives her a “calming feeling” because her Palestinian ancestors provided a “safe haven” for Jewish victims of the tragedy.
Prior to that, the Michigan lawmaker said she feels “more Palestinian in Congress” than American.
Hours after Democrats took control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2018, Tlaib launched into a profanity-laced diatribe against President Donald Trump and voted “impeach the motherf**ker.”
