Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is still on the Democrat Party’s hit list and they are coming for their revenge in the most interesting way.
A progressive group is going after Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins with a new ad campaign to target her over her vote to confirm Justice Kavanaugh.
The ad focuses on the senator’s past statements in support of abortion rights and wonders if they can continue to trust her.
“I used to support Susan Collins because I believed that she was a moderate and a voice of reason in the political realm,” a woman named Amy, a resident of Maine, said in the 30 second ad.
“Her vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh made me realize that Susan Collins was not true to her word when she said that she supported a woman’s right to choose. It’s easy to say, and she says it often, but her actions don’t back up her words,” she said.
This is not the first ad to feature Amy. Another spot aired in October 2019 against the senator.
“I used to support Susan Collins, but I feel like she isn’t the moderate voice anymore,” Amy said in that ad.
“Not since she voted for Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.
“I wondered why she did it, and then I saw that the same special interest group that supported Kavanaugh just hosted a big fundraiser for Collins.,” she said.
“This is serious. So much is at risk now because of her vote for Kavanaugh,” she said. “Senator Collins needs to know she let us down.”
If there are furious about what Justice Kavanaugh, and Justice Neil Gorsuch who was also picked by President Trump, are going to do to abortion laws they should by.
In a recent case challenging a 2017 Kentucky abortion law that requires an ultrasound of the baby and demands that the woman be informed of what the technician had seen on it, the justices voted in favor of allowing it to stand.
The Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, which was upheld by The Supreme Court, also requires the doctor to play the baby’s heartbeat for the mother to hear before deciding on abortion.
Democrats are likely enraged by this because it humanizes the baby as a living thing and the clump of cells that they want women to believe a fetus is.
“This is the court’s latest action taken against abortion, signaling a troubling road ahead for the fight to preserve abortion access across the country now that Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch have joined the bench and just months before oral arguments in a Louisiana abortion case,” Planned Parenthood said.
No wonder they are using Sen. Collins’ vote for Kavanaugh against her.
