Radical Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar has come under fire several times since becoming a member on Congress in January.
Aside from making a slew of anti-Semitic and controversial comments, allegations recently resurfaced that Omar married her own brother.
And now she is about to be hit with a lawsuit that could result in her only serving one term in Congress.
State Rep. Steve Drazkowski said he is submitting paperwork to the Minnesota Department of Revenue and IRA to look into Omar’s fraudulent taxes from 2014 and 2015.
Omar filed joint tax returns in 2014 and 2015 with Ahmed Hirsi, even though she was married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi from 2009 to 2017. Omar claims that she “corrected” those tax returns, though Drazkowski alleges that she may have improperly used campaign funds to do so.
State Rep. Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) announced Tuesday that he is submitting formal requests to the IRS and the Minnesota Department of Revenue for a full investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN-05) fraudulent 2014 and 2015 tax returns.
“I am very pleased that several of my colleagues here in the Minnesota House are joining me in this effort,” Drazkowski said.
“More and more people are beginning to realize that Rep. Omar’s deceptive conduct is unacceptable. The people deserve answers.”
According to a press release from Drazkowski’s office, the requests also ask both agencies to examine “improper payments” Omar accepted for speaking at various Minnesota colleges.
During the time of her speeches, she was a member of the Minnesota Legislature and served on the Higher Education Committee, meaning she oversaw the budgets for the institutions she accepted payments from.
“We need to know how she reported that illegal income,” he said. “Rep. Omar has demonstrated disdain for transparency.
“As such, I am asking the IRS and the Minnesota Department of Revenue to initiate a comprehensive investigation into Rep. Omar’s tax returns.
“The congresswoman’s consistent and intentional misuses of finances should certainly be considered in this matter.”
“You can’t be legally married to one person, yet file joint income taxes with another person. Such conduct is blatantly wrong,” he said.
The allegations against Omar are very serious and only continue to mount.
Last week, Omar was accused of potentially having an affair with a married man who works closely with her campaign.
Omar may be carrying on an affair with Tim Mynett, a married man whose business has received over $250,000 from Omar’s campaign.
Photos show that Mynett and Omar are constantly by each other’s sides at events, traveling to Los Angeles, New York City, Austin, and Seattle together.
What is unusual is that Omar is currently divorcing her second husband, has been accused of marrying her brother, and is now allegedly dating a married man while all of this is going on.
The Muslim lawmaker allegedly filed illegal tax returns in 2014 and 2015.
Official documents suggest that Omar was living with her current husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, throughout her entire legal marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, contradicting the story she tells to explain her multiple marriages.
Elmi is the man that critics allege is her brother.
And, putting the cherry on top, she refuses to answer questions or provide any documents that could clear up all of these allegations.
Her office has refused countless media inquires about allegations she married her brother.
Perhaps Omar knows that if she says nothing, the mainstream media will give her a pass and refuse to hold her accountable.
So rather than address the allegations, Omar is just riding it out and hoping that all of this will just go away.
For any reasonable observer, her refusal to comment on any of this sure looks like strong evidence against her.
