House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been leading the Democrats impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, and it has completely imploded in recent weeks.
Every time the lying little Schiff releases new information to the public about the impeachment witch hunt, it further proves they have no case at all.
And things just kicked up a notch after Republicans sent an order to Schiff that will give him a taste of his own medicine.
Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking minority member of House Intelligence Committee, called on Schiff to testify before the committee about his interaction with the so-called Ukraine “whistleblower” as part of the impeachment inquiry.
Nunes made the request that Schiff testify in a letter to the committee chairman on Friday, Fox News reported.
“As the American public is now aware, in August 2019, you and/or your staff met with or talked to the whistleblower who raised an issue with President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky,” Nunes wrote. “Although you claim that nothing inappropriate was discussed, the three committees deserve to hear directly from you the substance and circumstances surrounding any discussions conducted with the whistleblower, and any instructions you issued regarding those discussions.”
Schiff initially claimed that he had not spoken with the “whistleblower” prior to that individual’s complaint being made public.
We have now learned that is a complete lie.
After the whistleblower admitted to the inspector general that he met with Schiff’s team before filing a complaint, he amended his original statement and said he had not “personally” met with the “whistleblower” before the complaint went public.
Part of Nunes’ reasoning for why Schiff ought to testify is that the “whistleblower” is no longer going to.
“Given that you have reneged on your public commitment to let the committees interview the whistleblower directly,” Nunes wrote, “you are the only individual who can provide clarity as to these conversations.”
“Given your championing of such an arrangement two years ago, you should have no problem with you appearing before the three committees to discuss your interaction with the whistleblower,” Nunes wrote.
“However, by now the American people know your desire to see the duly-elected president removed from office outweighs your sense of responsibility to running a functioning intelligence oversight committee,” Nunes concluded.
This is just the latest string of horrific news for Schiff.
Late last week, Schiff got busted spreading a verifiable lie about one of his impeachment witnesses.
Tim Morrison, the departing Senior Director of European and Russian Affairs under Trump, testified that he listened to Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky.
Morrison said the president did not discuss anything illegal during the conversation.
Schiff, who released a transcript of Morrison’s testimony this week, cherry-picked what Morrison had said and claimed he confirmed that Trump threatened to withhold Ukraine’s aid unless they investigated Biden.
Schiff also came under fire after he released the transcript of the committee’s interview with top U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor — but he forgot to redact the name of the man many believe to be the whistleblower.
Schiff is so incompetent that he released a transcript with the name of the alleged whistleblower.
Democrats impeachment plan has backfired in spectacular fashion, and now we know the “whistleblower” is nothing more than a partisan hack trying to take down the president.
