The liberal mainstream media is already ramping up its efforts to help Democrats and hurt President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Just like the 2016 election, the media continues to get it wrong.
And conservative talk radio show host Rush Limbaugh just made a bold prediction about 2020 that most never saw coming.
During a segment on his nationally syndicated radio show, Limbaugh noted how the media is trying to test the waters and make the election about poll numbers and how Trump is supposedly losing to several 2020 Democrats in hypothetical match-ups.
Rush argued that the media is trying to scare voters by claiming Trump can’t beat several Democrats and that he has already lost re-election.
This, he argues, is their plan: convince voters Trump can’t win so they stay at home and don’t vote for the president next November.
But this strategy didn’t work in 2016, and Rush said it will fail again in 2020:
The point is in their minds, they set their sights on somebody, and they’re able to take them out. They set their sights on Donald Trump in 2015. They’ve launched everything they’ve got. They’ve launched every weapon in their arsenal. It has bombed out, blown up in their faces. I think they’re deranged, delusion and bordering on maybe even clinical insanity here.
With that in mind, Trump has “already reelected.”
I think Trump is already reelected. I don’t want to make too big a deal about this right now. I think these people have gone so far overboard and they’re unaware of it. There’s a story in the stack about Trump supporters in Seattle coming out now. There’s a story about how ANTIFA is bombing out in Portland. People are finally starting to see who ANTIFA is.
When you see a story about Trump supporters surfacing and coming out in Seattle, I think there is – Megan Rapinoe did an interview. Come to find out, her whole family loves Trump. She is the only member of her family that doesn’t, and she’s mad as her Trump was criticizing her, her father continued to love Trump.
While the election is still around 16 months away, Trump has secured a huge advantage that could sway the outcome in his favor.
Trump’s campaign and the the Republican National Committee raised a combined $108 million in the second quarter of this year.
The Trump campaign and the RNC have a combined $123.7 million in cash reserves.
Trump already has a gigantic advantage over Democrats in the money race — and the president will likely continue to substantially widen the gap.
For context, those numbers are much higher than the fundraising totals former President Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee posted in the same quarter in 2011.
In 2011, Obama’s reelection campaign reported $47 million in donations, with the DNC reporting it took in $38 million.
Trump and the RNC have brought in a combined $108 million compared to Obama and the DNC having just $85 million in total at the same time in their respective presidencies.
That’s a big difference.
The 2020 election may be a year and a half away, but it’s clear Trump has a massive fundraising advantage — which will be key to him securing a second term in office.
