The only thing worse than the hyper partisan Democrats in The House of Representatives and The Senate are the jelly legged, spineless Republicans that fall for their scams.
We call them RINOs, or Republicans In Name Only, and they are the ones you see on television talking about civility and reaching across the aisle.
They have been talking that talk for decades and the only thing they have gotten for their efforts is continuous victories for the Democrats.
That and a consistent pounding from the media whose backsides they continue to kiss in the errant belief that someday it will get better.
There are many Republicans who fall into the RINO category, like Utah Sen. Mitt Romney and Main Sen. Susan Collins, but one stands out from the pack.
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the Queen of the RINOs, should just change parties to Democrat with the number of times she has voted against, and spoken against, President Donald Trump and Republican interests.
One of the worst things she did was when she helped to put the kibosh on the repeal of Obamacare after Republicans campaigned on repealing it.
And now she appears to be standing with Democrats when it comes to the impeachment of the president.
Senate Majority Leader and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell has said that he will not be an impartial juror. But no kidding, neither will any Democrat.
He also said that he is coordinating with the White House on the trial, which is the same thing Sen. Tom Daschle did during the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
But for some reason when a Republican does it, it is cause for great concern for Democrats and RINOs like Sen. Murkowski.
“And in fairness, when I heard that I was disturbed,” the Alaska senator before she said that they Senate and White House should not get together on the handling of the trial.
“To me it means that we have to take that step back from being hand in glove with the defense, and so I heard what leader McConnell had said, I happened to think that that has further confused the process,” she said.
The senator was also one, of only three, Republicans who was not behind a letter from Senate Republicans to that criticized the closed door, secret part of The House’s impeachment inquiry.
The others, big surprise, were the aforementioned RINOs, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney and Main Sen. Susan Collins.
The senator also said she has not decided whether she will vote to convict or acquit President Trump as she wants to have a fair trial.
“For me to prejudge and say there’s nothing there or on the other hand, he should be impeached yesterday, that’s wrong, in my view, that’s wrong,” she said.
Apparently, Sen. Murkowski is not familiar with what an impeachment is. It is not a criminal trial. It is an inherently political trial.
No matter what the liberal media tells you, the Founders designed it that way. But when you have people like Sen. Murkowski who cave to every Democrat demand it gets more complex.
