Police in London, England are responding to a stabbing attack on the London Bridge and they are treating it as terror.
“Police were called at 1:58pm to a stabbing at premises near to London Bridge. Emergency services attended, including officers from the Met and @CityPolice,” The Metro Police said on Twitter.
“A man has been detained by police. We believe a number of people have been injured. Further info to follow.

“At this stage, the circumstances relating to the incident at #LondonBridge remain unclear. However, as a precaution, we are currently responding to this incident as though it is terror-related.
“One man has been shot by police. We will provide further information when possible,” it said on its Twitter page.
Boris Johnson, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, was informed of the incident and issued a statement to the media.
“I’m being kept updated on the incident at London Bridge and want to thank the police and all emergency services for their immediate response,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a statement as The BBC reported on the story.
A man has been detained and a number of people are believed to have been injured in an incident at London Bridge.
The Met Police say they were called to a stabbing at premises near the bridge in central London just before 14:00 GMT.
Scotland Yard says officers are “responding to this incident as though it is terror-related”.
Videos on social media appear to show several people dressed in plain-clothes surrounding a man on the floor who then disperse before the man is shot by an armed police officer.
London Ambulance Service has declared a “major incident” and have a number of crews at the scene.
“Shocking reports from London Bridge. My thoughts are with those caught up in the incident. Thank you to the police and emergency services who are responding,” Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said.
“A stark reminder of the dangerous and diverse threats we continue to face but also of the incredible bravery and professionalism of our emergency services in so swiftly closing this incident down,” former defense minister Tobias Ellwood said.
Video from the scene showed a confrontation with a suspect and the police in which the suspect was shot by the authorities, BBC reported.
A witness who works in a stall in Borough Market, on the south side of London Bridge says it looked like a minor incident at first.
But Laurence Verfaillie tells the PA news agency it brought back memories of the terror attack on the bridge and market in 2017.
“I thought it was a car crash, it looked like it was pretty minor,” he says.
“Suddenly a trader told me the ice cream seller on the bridge has run away yelling there has been an incident, the witness said.”Another trader said police were looking for someone.
“Suddenly people were taking refuge in our shop before we got told to leave, he said. “We still think about what happened last time.”
Kirsten Jones, a witness who was travelling on London Bridge on a bus at the time of the attack said “it came to a sudden stop because there were people running across the road”.
“It looked like there was a fight going on, there were people tussling with one each other and then I realized it was police wrestling with one tall, bearded man,” she said.
When speaking to BBC News she said she heard “two loud pops and also saw a spent taser, and then the guy was lying on the floor.”
“He then pulled his coat back which showed he had some sort of vest underneath… The police then moved backwards away quickly,” she said.
