Top Fox News Host Could Be Taken Off The Air For This Terrible Reason

Several liberal mainstream media outlets have been trying to get Fox News host Tucker Carlson off the air for years.

Despite having one of the highest rated cable news shows, the top rated host could be taken off the air.

And it could be for good.

Carlson returned this week after a week-long vacation regarding a controversy surrounding his factual assertion that white supremacy was not a national security threat to the United States.

This led to another round of activist-and-media-led sponsor boycotts that proved successful.

Carlson’s show this week had fewer commercials when he returned from “vacation.”

And if the Left continues this campaign against Carlson, it could unfortunately result in him losing his show.

The New York Times reports:

The Monday episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host’s first since he left the airwaves for what Fox News said was a planned vacation two days after making the remarks on white supremacy, had fewer commercials than usual.

There were spots for turmeric drink mixes, ear wash systems and cup-holder mounts for smartphones, as well as ads for Dyson, Raymour & Flanigan and USAA, but none for products from SoFi, Calm or SteinMart. Those companies advertised on the program earlier this summer but said in statements in recent days that their commercials would not appear during Mr. Carlson’s nightly hour.

A Monday night episode from one year ago, the broadcast of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Aug. 20, 2018, had 16 minutes of ads, with 38 commercials that aired across the nation, according to iSpot.tv, the television ads measurement company. The Monday night episode this week, by contrast, had 13.5 minutes of commercials, with 23 nationally aired spots. Eight of the 23 were promotions for other Fox properties.

Mr. Carlson still attracts a large audience. He drew 3.1 million viewers on Monday night, the second-largest audience in all of cable that night. That number put him close behind his Fox News colleague Sean Hannity, according to Nielsen. But that has not been enough for the show to hang on to many advertisers.

Liberal activists — with the help of fake news CNN — have been endlessly going after Carlson and shaming all of the companies who advertise on his Fox News program because he supports President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda.

Liberals are desperately trying to claim this makes Carlson “racist” and that anyone who advertises on his show is also a bigot.

While Carlson is back from “vacation,” many are worried that the Left will stop at nothing until he loses his Fox program.

There is a long history of Fox News hosts taking sudden vacations when they are embroiled in controversies.

This includes Judge Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and Bill O’Reilly.

Numerous high profile individuals at Fox News have also refused to comment on Carlson’s “vacation.”

Many are also worried that what happened to O’Reilly in 2017 may happen to Carlson.

Two years ago, O’Reilly announced that he was taking a vacation after his Fox program suffered sponsor boycotts surrounding allegations he sexually harassed women at Fox News and paid them off.

O’Reilly never returned after his “vacation” and was promptly fired.
