Trump Admin Strikes – Top Clinton Ally Sentenced To Prison For TREASON

Everyone knows the Clinton family has been committing crimes and associating with those who commit illegal acts for decades. The problem is that they always seem to skirt charges and get away with breaking the law.

But now that President Donald Trump’s administration is leading the charge, a top Clinton-era official is going to jail for treason.

Former State Department employee Candace Claiborne, hired under former President Bill Clinton, was sentenced on Tuesday to 40 months in prison and smacked with a $40,000 fine.

Claiborne is also required to serve 36 months of supervised release and will sit down for an interview with the FBI as well as cooperate for a video with the State Department when she gets out of prison.

While working under former President Barack Obama, Claiborne admitted to conspiring to defraud the U.S. government, concealing contact with foreign spies, obstructing an official proceeding, and making false statements to the FBI.

Claiborne, a 60-year-old veteran State Department employee, possessed a Top Secret security clearance and concealed her extensive contacts with Chinese intelligence agents.

Chinese spies lavished Claiborne with thousands of dollars in gifts as part of a pay-for-play scheme.

In addition to cash payments, Chinese spies also paid Claiborne with vacations, an apartment, Apple electronics, and tuition to a Chinese fashion school.

Prosecutors said she also tried to hide evidence of her crimes from investigators after Trump took office.

U.S. District Court Judge Randolph Moss called Claiborne’s crime “a truly grave offense, a betrayal of her employer and a betrayal of her country” before sentencing her in a Washington D.C. courtroom.

Prosecutors outlined several of the crimes that occurred while working for Obama’s administration in 2011.

“Over five years, the agents provided Claiborne with cash, meals, tuition payments for a Chinese fashion school, vacations, a furnished apartment, a laptop, a phone, and a monthly stipend. Some of the gifts were given directly to Claiborne and others to her close family members,” Fox News reported.

“In her journal, she noted that working for one of the agents could ‘Generate 20k in 1 year,’ the Justice Department said. In an email between Claiborne and a Chinese agent, the agent said: ‘I will help your kids and also you make money in China,’” Fox added.

“Sounds like a plan!” Claiborne’s replied.

“Claiborne, who confided to a co-conspirator that the PRC agents were ‘spies,’ willfully misled State Department background investigators and FBI investigators about her contacts with those agents, the plea documents state. After the State Department and FBI investigators contacted her, Claiborne also instructed her co-conspirators to delete evidence connecting her to the PRC agents,” the Department of Justice said in their statement on the ruling.

Federal prosecutor Thomas Gillice pressed for the maximum sentence, saying Claiborne was well-aware that she was betraying her country and continued to do so for personal gain.

“She did this repeatedly over a period of years and at the expense of her country,” said Gillice.

Claiborne began working as an Office Management Specialist for the Department of State in 1999, which is when former President Clinton was in office.

She worked at the State Department up until her indictment, including when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state between 2009 and 2012.

Now, she’s going to prison for three and a half years after admitting to treason and selling out her country.
