Soon after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that Democrats were launching a bogus impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky, things have gone from bad to worse for her.
Pelosi has been slammed for her mishandling of the impeachment process, lack of transparency, and refusal to allow Republicans equal treatment in the process.
And now, her job as House Speaker could be in serious jeopardy.
An ethics complaint against Pelosi has been sent to House Ethics Committee, and more than 40 conservative political groups have already signed it.
The groups, led by the Tea Party Action Committee, are requesting an inquiry and investigation into Pelosi’s “misconduct” and “abuse of power” to use impeachment as a political tool to help her party win the 2020 presidential election.
The conservative groups are demanding Pelosi be removed as Speaker of the House for conducting such unethical impeachment proceedings.
As reported by The Hill, here’s the letter:
In launching her ‘official’ impeachment inquiry without benefit of a vote of the full House of Representatives and without indicating anything remotely qualifying as ‘treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors’ that is the subject of the inquiry, Speaker Pelosi has weaponized impeachment.
She and her Democratic colleagues are using the impeachment process as a weapon of partisan political battle, rather than as the means to defend the Constitution our Framers meant it to be.
Many Democrats in the House of Representatives apparently share Rep. Green’s view — that they are unlikely to defeat President Trump at the polls in the November 2020 presidential election, and therefore must vote to impeach him lest they be saddled with another four years of his presidency.
For them, impeachment is just another political tool, with guilt or innocence to be determined not by the weight of the evidence, but by the relative strength of the political parties in the Congress.
Speaker Pelosi has, through multiple actions and false statements, abused her power as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
She has violated the Official Code of Conduct of the House of Representatives through a pattern of abuse of power, demonstrating that she is unfit to continue to serve as Speaker of the House.
Things continue to go from bad to worse for Pelosi this week.
We also learned this week the true identity of the whistleblower who filed a complaint back in August about Trump’s call with Ukraine.
His name is Eric Ciaramella — and it’s worse than we thought.
that the so-called whistleblower who filed a complaint over President Trump’s Ukraine phone call is: (1) a registered Democrat; (2) worked for Obama and Joe Biden when they were in the White House; (3) is a vocal critic of Trump; (4) helped initiate the Russia “collusion” hoax; and (5) was fired from the National Security Council in 2017 for leaks, and returned to the CIA.
